We will demonstrate pearls for performing intrascleral haptic fixation, for IOL implantation in the absence of capsular support. Mainly we will focus on the Yamane technique. Topics will include: when to operate temporally vs. superiorly, how to avoid vitreous hemorrhage, how to more easily dock the haptics, which IOL to use, and how to improve IOL centration and avoid tilt.
