Description
Intraoperative anterior capsule tears can be difficult to manage without causing complications. We present a case of an anterior capsule tear caused by hydrodissection in a dense, brunescent cataract. The "V-technique" was used to sculpt the nucleus into three segments, which were removed successfully without extending the tear. A single-piece IOL was safely placed in the capsular bag and the patient did well post-operatively.
