A novel belt loop technique for fixating a dislocated capsular/intraocular lens (IOL) complex to the sclera using 5-0 prolene is demonstrated. This technique avoids IOL exchange with increased risk of vitreous loss and endothelial or iris trauma. Different methods will be shown for externalizing the suture with many IOL types, including single and three piece lenses and advanced technology lenses.
