The film summarizes the understanding of “forme fruste keratoconus” (FFKC), initially coined by Amsler in the late 1930s. Though there is no consensus on the definitions for FFKC, other terms such as mild or subclinical were proposed. The advances in multimodal imaging using artificial intelligence to characterize the intrinsic susceptibility for ectasia are put in perspective.
