Important 2020 Year-End Information

Give Sight Give Joy
With the end of the year rapidly approaching, there is still time left to help us grow and expand the impact we make together at home and around the world by making your 2020 gift to the ASCRS Foundation. Gifts of all sizes ensure we are able to provide surgery to those most in need.

There are several ways to make your year-end contribution:

Give Online
Make your donation today by clicking here.

Mail a Check
Send a check made payable to the ASCRS Foundation to 12587 Fair Lakes Circle Suite 348 Fairfax, VA 22033. Checks and envelopes must be dated and postmarked no later than December 31, 2020 for your contribution to process in calendar year 2020.

Donate Through Your Donor Advised Fund
If you have a donor advised fund, consider making a grant recommendation to the ASCRS Foundation to help support our mission. Talk to your financial advisor for more information. The ASCRS Foundation tax ID number is 23-7388748.

Gift of Stock
Your financial advisor can assist you in making a stock or securities gift. Inform your broker that you would like to make a gift of stock to the ASCRS Foundation by providing them with this information: American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery Foundation, DTC Number: 0062, Account Number: 25722936. Please respond to this email so we may instruct our broker to accept delivery of your gift and acknowledge it properly for income tax purposes.

Consider an IRA Rollover
If you are 70 1/2 or older, you may be able to take advantage of the IRA Charitable Rollover. Talk to your financial advisor for more information. The ASCRS Foundation tax ID number is 23-7388748.

2020 CARES Act Deductions
In the event you are considering a year-end donation to the ASCRS Foundation, in accordance with the Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security Act, you'll be able to deduct your donation. For the 2020 tax year only, the CARES Act temporarily suspends limits on charitable contributions to the ASCRS Foundation and most other public charities, and allows taxpayers who do not itemize deductions to take a charitable deduction of up to $300 for cash contributions made by December 31. Please talk to your financial advisor for more information.

Thank you for your generosity and support of the ASCRS Foundation. Wishing you and yours a very Happy New Year.

Sincerely,
Molly Gascoigne
Director of Development
