Conventional techniques in microspherophakia involve creation of anterior capsular openings which have risk of extension & posterior migration of lens matter. Our approach involves simultaneous introduction of 2 MVR blades at lens equator 180º apart, helps to keep lens in visual axis, provides counter-traction for opposite MVR & reduces risk of premature extension due to thicker capsule at equator.
