3D display eye surgery was already begun several years ago. But there were few users of 3D display surgery due to the limitations in delayed signal processing and low video resolution. Replacing the oculars with 4K display and fast 3D signal processor enabled cataract surgery with many benefits such as lower power illumination, higher contrast image, ergonomics, etc.
