We describe an innovative technique (DASP delineation technique) to simplify lenticule dissection in SMILE. Anterior plane is delineated on both edges of cap side cut with posterior plane delineation centrally. During anterior plane dissection, a novel 'release sign' is noted. Our technique significantly reduces the risk of lenticule mis-dissection and shortens the surgeon's learning curve.
