Conventional irrigationand aspiration (I/A) tips with a 0.3 mm diameter aspiration port are excellent for
cortical aspiration, but difficult to aspirate epinuclei and the crushed micronuclei that often appear from the backside of
the iris during cortical aspiration. We have developed an I/A tip with a variable aspiration port size that solves these
problems and are presented in this film.
