CAIRS was first produced manually from a full-thickness donor cornea and implanted with SK Intacs as a guidewire. Although exciting, the original technique produces segments with a uniform nomogram and unpredictable thickness. We demonstrate a femtosecond-assisted-technique for creating personalized CAIRS. We describe an implantation technique that uses only forceps, a cannula and a sinskey.
